As part of our 2022 service change, we are issuing refunds to artists with active release subscriptions (i.e. releases still live in stores). Refunds will be on a pro-rata basis, which means you are refunded for the number of days of your subscription that you have not used.
For example, if you are only six months through your subscription, you will be refunded half the cost of the yearly fee. We’ve added a few extra examples below so help you get a better idea of what refund you may be owed. All sums are done using October 4th 2022, as the end of your subscription.
Example 1
You renewed your single for €9.99 on March 15, 2022. You only used 62 days of your subscription and need to be refunded for the 303 days you did not get to use.
303 days x (€9.99 ➗ 365 days)
Refund = €8.29
Example 2
You paid for an EP for €19.99 that was released on August 23, 2021. You used 266 days of your subscription and need to be refunded for the 99 days you didn’t use.
99 x (€19.99 ➗ 365 days)
Refund = €5.42
Example 3
You released an album for €39.99 on June 5, 2021. You used 345 days of your subscription and need to be refunded for the 20 days you didn’t use.
20 x (€39.99➗ 365 days)
Refund = €2.19
We started issuing refunds on October 4th 2022, and it can take up to 30 days for us to process all refunds, and for the refunded money to appear on your card or in your account you originally paid for the release/s with. We appreciate your patience while we process these.
Where possible, we will refund you in your local currency. If your original payment was via PayPal and was in the following currencies; MYR, VND, IDR, ZAR, we will refund your PayPal account in Euros and it will automatically be converted into your local currency by PayPal.
If it has been longer than 30 days and you still haven’t received a refund, please get in touch with our support team here.
