If you’ve received a rejection email from our team because your track is cut too short or has long silences at the end it means it didn’t fade out properly. This is another of the stores’ guidelines so you must edit this and resubmit before our team can approve and send your music to the stores.
If you have a Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) such as Logic Pro or Ableton, or any other music software you prefer, then you’ll probably already know how to edit your tracks. If you don’t have any music software already, we recommend you download Audacity for free to make these fixes to your tracks.
Here are the guidelines you have to follow:
- Tracks can’t have longer that 5 seconds of silence at the end.
You can easily amend this in your DAW and crop the audio to the required length before resubmitting. Here is a video example in Audacity. - Tracks can’t end abruptly in the middle of a bar or section of music.
You can also edit this in your DAW by using a fade out effect or tool. Here is a video example in Audacity.
