If you want to re-upload music to Spinnup that you already released with us, there are some things to consider.
If a release you distributed on Spinnup has been taken down from stores then unfortunately, we can’t upload the old version. But that doesn’t mean you can’t get it back online!
To re-upload your old release to stores, you’ll need to:
- Reupload in your artist account as if it’s a brand-new release
- Make sure you use the exact same audio & artwork files, as well as the same release information such as release title, track names and featuring artists.
- Request new UPCs and ISRCs – this is done automatically when you make a release, but please don’t manually add in your old ones
If you do the above then we should be able to get the stores to match the play counts your release originally had so you’re not starting to build these up from the ground again. This can’t be 100% guaranteed as it’s done automatically by the stores, but we find it works in the majority of cases.
