An ISRC is an International Standard Recording Code, this is a code assigned to every track released. For example, a 5-track EP will have 5 ISRC codes (one for each track) and one UPC code.
How do I get an ISRC?
All you need to do is distribute a release with us! Every track that comes through our system is assigned ISRC and UPC codes (more on UPC codes here) free of charge.
Can I use my own ISRC code/s?
If you already have ISRC codes for your tracks, feel free to use those. Simply select “I already have my own ISRC number” when uploading your track/s
This may especially be the case if you are transferring your catalogue from another distributor. We have more advice on how to transfer your music to Spinnup right here.
